Mr. Wolitz has a time proven ability in system design and project implementation from concept through completion. His experience encompasses most fields of Industrial Power Systems and Controls, including medium voltage and low voltage power distribution, Motor-Generator sets, relay controls / PLC control system design, upgrades and programming, integrated / distributive control systems, PID loop controls / tuning, instrumentation and plant equipment layout. He has NEC code expertise, including article 500 – hazardous locations as well as a strong emphasis in equipment documentation, system and safety training. He is very well versed in written documentation as required for capital project development, justification and appropriations as well as project reporting and technical manual composition.
Before joining Progressive Design, Mr. Wolitz spent several years in a senior plant management role. There he developed a systems expertise, including CMMS, purchasing and Database Management. His extensive plant experience has been obtained in many systems and industries; including, line speed controls, material processing, batch controls, combustion controls and safety, sheet processing, metal drawing, metal rolling, plastics and plastic extrusion – sheet and screw/barrel, chemical processing, batch systems, cooling towers, water treatment and high speed manufacturing. He also has ISO and Six-Sigma project experience.
Working with varied plants through his career, he has developed experience with many plant controls systems, including: Allen-Bradley PLC-2, PLC-5, PLC-5/250, SLC-500, MicroLogix, ControlLogix, Modicon 84 through 984 PLCs, GE Series 5, 6 and 90-30 PLCs, Reliance and DeltaV DCS, Single Loop Control Devices and Process Instrumentation. Operator Interface Systems: WonderWare, ActiveFactory, RSView32, PanelBuilder, Nematron, Screenware, and ControlView. Allen-Bradley, Reliance and Emerson / Control-Techniques VF AC and DC Drives; integrated and stand-alone systems.
Mr. Wolitz is also an experienced teacher having taught “Fundamentals of Engineering” electrical and electronics classes for Engineers working toward their P.E. Licensure at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has developed strong training skills and experience as associated with new equipment and technology startups.
As a PDI project engineer, he oversees multi-discipline project teams to ensure clients design deliverables are issued on time and on budget.
